| What I've been thinking about this week:
I'm 24 years old...
- I need to get my life in order. (a "real career")
- My biological clock is ticking. (Maybe I should adopt a dog?)
- Everyone else around me seems to be too busy since I've returned home...maybe I have too much time on my hands?
- I do not want to work at a McDonald's...ever. Why is it that all I see at the drive thru are 12 yr old teens, so optimistic and smiling? "Have a great day," they say, and I drive away, thinking..."No...YOU have a great day, making big macs and frying french fries and blending milkshakes..."
- Patience is a virtue, yes, but how long should I wait to be scheduled for interviews?
- Listening to another genre of music is relaxing and different.
- L-O-V-E-F-E-S-T!

| It's been a while since I wrote my last blog. Too busy with class, looking for another job, and hanging out at DnB.
Today I gave some advice to my gfriend, and told her the story of me and my 2nd to the last ex-bf. (Why does it always sound so bad? EX?) Anyway, the moral of the story was that my relationship with him wasn't working... we had a HUGE communication problem. We tried to resolve it, but it didn't work. He clung onto me and it was the worst breakup ever... I had to break up with him 5 times for him to get it. I tried to tell her that sometimes you can love someone, but not be IN love with them, and you decide whether you want to risk holding onto whatever's left and compromise, or you just let go. It's a hard thing to do...let go... but just as bad to hold onto something that isn't working out either.
I also contemplated as to why I haven't had a bf in a while, and came to the conclusion...maybe its me... maybe im too picky. Or, maybe the kind of man I want is not on this FreaKin island of `Oahu. See, the man I want is prefably older than me, has ambition, graduated from a top Uni on the mainland and moved back home, is ambitious, has a "real career," and doesn't have children. Is that too hard to ask? I don't know... there's more. He has to be a good coversationalist, show a good sense of humor and/or sarcasm, have a good head on his shoulders, nice teeth, and be taller than me. Non-smoker pref. So... if anyone has read this and knows someone who meets these qualifications, let me know. If not, I will have to keep looking. Or not... sometimes it comes to you when you're Not looking. | | |
| Today was a day of small awkward silences and pms exchanges between my mom and I. Its pretty rare that we fight, or get mad at each other, but today was just pushing each others buttons to the point of silences. It got worse before it got better, and I have to say that watching Harry Potter 3 with her eased our exchanges because we were even getting on each other's nerves as we departed from the car parking lot. But once we got inside and got some popcorn, sat down, we were normal again. I love my mom. Sometimes we are too much alike, sometimes we are like sisters, sometimes we are too hard head.
I actually watched two movies today, I also watched Spiderman 2. It was good, in my opinion, and captured the Marvel comic well. I felt more connected to this one because of Tobey Macguire's character. He is a bit more complicated. I wont say anymore bc maybe there are other people who havent seen it yet...So go to the movies and see it!
Im working on my article for a new features story for the newspaper. I love working there. I can't wait for it to be published! I must search for the best picture of me in London...
